By: LPU The British High Commissioner to India, Sir Dominic Asquith, also interacted with the visiting students. He informed that there are huge opportunities for the two countries to continue with their association. He hoped that under the rule of new UK PM, Theresa May, relations of two countries will grow stronger. Interacting with students and members of the British Council, he spoke about various education opportunities and prospects for the students of both the countries. LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal shared: "It is indeed heartening to note that students from so many top universities of one of the top countries of the world are presently learning at our university. Students are seen enjoying the Indian study environ to the core which is satisfaction to our faculty members." One of the participating students Grant Addison of the University of Cambridge says: "I am feeling happy to choose LPU for this two-week program. Here, I have come to know about diversity and growth of India. Moreover, special lectures on India's relations with its neighbouring countries broadened my vision about prosperity and progress of India in international perspective." Other participating UK Universities are King's College London, University of Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Greenwich, York, Exeter, Aberdeen, Nottingham Trent University, Queen's University Belfast, Swansea University, Aston University, Falmouth University, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Cardiff and Aberystwyth University.
