HOUSTON - Aug. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Young students will benefit from Green Education Foundation's national backpack giveaway campaign.  Partnering with Houston's West Oaks Mall in the Fulshear area of Houston, Green Education Foundation  will participate in West Oaks Mall's "Back-to-School Style Show" on Auguast 13th, 2016 at 2:00pm.  In exchange for a pledge to recycle, children in the audience will receive a free backpack with school supplies. Parents are counted on to partner in Green Education Foundation's effort,  the motto of which is "Seed Minds – Save the Future."

Green Education Foundation has a simple goal to engage students, early in their lives in complex environmental issues using a hands on simplified approach. The backpack giveaway will happen in conjunction with a brief educational event at Green Education Foundation's  local  Neighborhood Donation Recycling Station (NDRS Kiosk) at West Oaks Mall, where area students and their parents are invited to bring old backpacks clothes, shoes and household items.

In addition to the positive impact on the environment, offered by recycling, in 2015, the National Retail Federation predicted the average person with children in grades K-12 would spend $97.74 on school supplies such as notebooks, pencils and backpacks. With more than 16 million children in the U.S. living in poverty, Green Education Foundation is working to alleviate the rising costs of school supplies, by encouraging the use of recycling to make new retail and other sustainable items.

Green Education Foundation is a registered California-based 501 (c) 3 nonprofit public charity, committed to creating green educational programs and workshops that will help shape the minds of our future environmental and political leaders, thus creating a sustainable future for all our future generations. As of January 2015, Green Education Foundation has diverted over 25 million lbs of unwanted but recyclable textiles out of our nations landfills.
