Young Creative Professionals To Donate Marketing Services to Illumination Foundation

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Aug. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- OneOC sponsored nonprofit, Forge54, will be executing their fourth annual marathon marketing weekend on October 14-16 at Amusement Park in Santa Ana. Forge54 board members have chosen Illumination Foundation to receive this marketing services grant. The donated assets will be created by nearly one hundred young volunteers during a unique 54-hour weekend event.

"Forge54 was created to give talented young professionals a way to give back to their community in a significant way without having to donate a lot of money," said Forge54 founder and executive director Torrey Tayenaka. "And with this weekend, we can give in a way that is more valuable than what any of us could do in a single day of volunteering."

According to Tayenaka and his Forge54 team, the volunteers involved in this event are donating the most valuable things they have to offer: creativity, experience and skills. Once the event is complete, Forge54 will hand Illumination Foundation tools and resources they can use to further their organization and promote their mission to break or prevent the cycle of homelessness.

"We are really excited for Forge54 to help us move into the next phase of our evolution," said Illumination Foundation co-founder and CFO Paul Cho. "We work to solve the problem of homelessness... Sure these people need a roof over their head, but they also need a community and that is what [Forge54] is really about. It's about a community of skilled volunteers."

During the 2013 inaugural event, Forge54 donated over $160,000 in marketing deliverables to the OC Food Bank. In 2014, Forge54 donated $308,500 in marketing services to Playworks SoCal. Last year, Wells of Life received an estimated $574,725 worth of work from Forge54.

Said Tayenaka: "We are good at what we do, and we have an opportunity to make a huge impact not only for this organization, but for the Orange County community."
