NEW YORK - July 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Beautiful sterling silver and mixed metal punch bowl with ladle. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1881.

Bowl: curved sides with allover honeycomb hand hammering. Copper base in form of knotty cherry branch. The branch climbs both sides, laden with luscious tawny fruit and wind-blown leaves.

Ladle: round bowl with side spout and tapering handle. Allover hand-hammering and fruiting cherry branch applied to terminal.

A wonderful and tactile mix of Japonesque and Craftsman influences. Hallmarked "sterling & other metals". Bowl hallmark includes date letter and no. 1745. Fine condition and patina.

Dimensions: Bowl: H 6 1/4 x D 11 1/4 in. Ladle: L 11 in. Total weight: 79 troy ounces.
