Follow on Google News | Celebrating RAM's Wustum Museum's Milestone AnniversaryBy: Racine Art Museum All About Wustum features pieces dedicated to memories and experiences of Wustum and its gardens, created by area families and art students on view side-by-side with well-known regional artists who teach or work at the museums. The exhibition of 128 pieces includes a wide range of media that reflects the stunning variety of different workshops and classes taught at RAM's Wustum Museum. Wustum, 1895, Billings, MT Sophia Chiodo - Untitled Visitors to RAM's Wustum Museum are also encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork. The audience award will be announced after the close of the show. Artists Included in the Exhibition Bristol: Stephanie Slamar; Burlington: Peter Mandli; Caledonia: Noor Hammad, Nancy Neider; Franksville: Racine Art Guild Juried Competition 2016 Also at RAM's Wustum Museum, Racine Art Guild Juried Competition 2016demonstrates the creativity of the members of this group of practicing artists. Artworks selected for this show display an understanding of art techniques and presentation. The exhibition is open June 4 through August 25, 2016. RAM's Wustum Museum is located at 2519 Northwestern Avenue, just a few miles from RAM's downtown location at 441 Main Street. Parking and admission is always free at Wustum. Offering studio art classes since 1941, the museum is a nurturing and inspiring environment for novices, emerging artists and professional artists to experiment, practice and learn. Docent led contemporary craft and architectural tours of the museums are available. Both campuses of the Racine Art Museum, are open to the public Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and are closed Mondays, Federal holidays and Easter. RAM is open Sunday Noon - 5:00 pm, while Wustum is closed Sundays. An admission fee of $5 for adults, with reduced fees for students and seniors, applies at RAM. Admission to Wustum is free.
