By: Killiam Shakespeare For Killiam Season 1, the band believes this mixtape with hip-hop legend DJ Jazzy Jeff, is an opportunity to take their fans on a musical journey that culminates a climatic experience heard by the pulsating keys and synthesizers played by Bernhard and up-tempo patterns from McKie. "Working with Jeff is like being next to a wizard…someone who connects with music on a deep level is rare and nothing to be taken for granted...," Produced and arranged by both Mckie and Bernhard, the mixtape begins with a pinnacle intro that transitions into a seductive R&B track "Insanity" featuring newcomer Lana Knight; her light and flirty vocals is memorizing to the ear from the lyrical expression of love and sensuality. In contrast, "Drive Me Crazy" offers the modern "trap" style, featuring R&B singer Noel Scales. The song is accompanied by the off-beat rhythmic configurations where the well-known style by Mckie is elevated throughout the song. Proceeding this track, is "Alphabet Boys" where McKie passes the baton to Bernard as his palpitated strokes on the keys are spotlighted. The hip-hop track features rappers Freeway, EST (Beyoncé and Scott Storch), and Val Strasser. "Young Fly Love" a harmonious contemporary track that features R&B singer Aaron Camper is captivating by the melodic textures sung by the singer. A retro track "Set It Off" featuring Cody Wise, is a revisit from the 80's R&B where the synthesizer is the pivotal instrument. Lastly, the band showcases their musical capabilities on "Julio César" with Anthony Decarlo on Spanish guitar and Dwayne on electric bass. The Latin and samba track emphasizes the band's musical fondness of cultural influences.
