LAS VEGAS - July 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Founder and CEO, Michael Feder of PrayerSpark is among group of 17 business men and women from around the globe (4 from the United States) who are finalists to be crowned with an award that honors achievement in interfaith relations. The Global Business & Interfaith Peace Awards are given by the United Nations Global Compact's Business for Peace platform and the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit to honor current or past business CEOs for leadership in promoting and fostering interfaith understanding and religious freedom at the workplace. There is a growing movement of business leaders who are committed to addressing social issues of today. Michael Feder's work at PrayerSpark is a part of that movement, working to bring interfaith spiritual support to all.

While the 17 global candidates come from a variety of business and religious backgrounds, Mr. Feder's passion to bring comfort to those who need it is unmatched in his unique vision to create a company that offers interfaith, LGBTQ-embracing spiritual support. PrayerSpark is a B2B SaaS company in the healthcare space, with key partners in place (Addiction Recovery and Hospice) for clinical stress reduction apps. The first clinical white label app of it's kind, the "Addiction Recovery App powered by PrayerSpark" will be deployed this fall with unique features to help prevent relapse for those in addiction recovery. This groundbreaking new app aims to reduce the addiction relapse rate by providing encouragement and support to those in addiction recovery regardless of their religious affiliation. The app creates a mobile support environment for those in recovery, including a "life saved" counter, virtual sobriety tokens for achieving milestones, positive affirmations, a private social network to safely seek support from trusted members, and, for the first time ever, direct access to renowned spiritual leaders of the world's many religious and spiritual faiths. With eight steps of the 12-step program requiring participants to "surrender to a higher power," PrayerSpark provides spiritual support to those of all faiths, including alternatives for those people who don't have a religious affiliation. The app was developed by a globally renowned team of visionaries, medical doctors and rehabilitation specialists.  Says finalist Michael Feder, " It's an honor to be considered as one of 4 American finalists for this award. Interfaith religious freedom means we all have to stand together in tolerance and acceptance. We are all interconnected."

Candidates were chosen by a panel of global experts from the United Nations, the religious freedom community, and the business and peace community. The judges determining the medal winners are H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, the UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett, President of the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights & Justice, and Per L. Saxegaard, founder and executive chairman of the Business for Peace Foundation in Oslo, Norway. The Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding and its CEO, Joyce S. Dubensky, Esq. provided additional expert input during the judging process. These outstanding leaders were judged in four areas when the finalists were selected – the nature of their core business, their social investment and philanthropy, their advocacy and public policy engagement, and their partnership and collective action in their communities and beyond.

The winners will be announced less than two months from now on Sept. 6, 2016, as the Paralympic Games in Rio De Janeiro begin. The judges will award Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists.
