New Startup Class Shows Orlando's Enduring Entrepreneurial Culture

Starter Studio's Tech Accelerator announces companies that will comprise its sixth class as the program enters its third year.
 
ORLANDO, Fla. - July 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Orlando-based tech accelerator Starter Studio today announced the names of the eight local tech startups chosen for its Class 6 that begins August 8, 2016.

The companies selected are:

Artistry.io – Product customization platform that integrates with popular e-commerce platforms to give customers a live preview of their customized products and optimize the ordering and fulfillment process.

Destination Strategy Partners – An interactive learning platform to engage tourism industry employees in the destination experience, creating destination advocates.

HRST Apps – Cloud-based medical practice management software designed to easily help practice owners have a clear, concise system for knowing every detail of revenue, productivity, marketing, billing, and patient care at the click of a button.

SimBlocks – Software solutions to create more realistic, dynamic, and immersive visual experiences for the Modeling, Simulation, and Training community by integrating modern game engine technology into simulation systems.

Snapgood – The social-good app that makes doing good fun and easy.

Statusphere – An exclusive network of social media influencers that receive a monthly box of high-end products in exchange for sharing lifestyle photos of the products with their social following.

Swedish Solar – Smart solar panel awnings that provide architectural style, energy, shade, and storm protection.

University Android – Creates Android tutorials that are integrated with Android Studio, the program used to develop Android apps, so that we can make becoming an Android developer less difficult and more fun.

Donna Mackenzie, Executive Director of Starter Studio, says of the latest class, "The quantity and quality of the applicant pool for Class 6 clearly demonstrates the energy of tech entrepreneurship in our region. Our strong group of partners and mentors are ready to support our Starters to get them further and faster than they could on their own."

Startup founders will work during the full-time, 12-week program to develop their product idea, validate it with potential customers in real-world scenarios, complete financial models, and demonstrate their product in a final public "Demo Day" in November.
