By: IntegraCare The Tocimaks were married on July 21, 1956 in Philipsburg. Andrew will turn 98 on July 30, and Louise will be 85 on August 25. The couple has resided at Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield since April. "It was a really special day for a special couple," said Wanda Ferguson, Activities Director at Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield. "They were very surprised. We asked them to come to the activities room, and they thought we were holding an activity. Their faces lit up when they saw all the people and the cake." Andrew was born July 30, 1918 and grew up in Philipsburg. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater of Operations and became a teacher when he returned home. Andrew taught and briefly served as a principal in the Philipsburg- Louise worked as a dental assistant and sold real estate. The couple has two grown children, a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Marjorie. "Andy says shared responsibility is the key to a long and happy marriage," Ferguson said. "He also said spending time together is also important." Ferguson said Andrew often can be found on the computer. "He is very computer savvy," she said.
