Cavignac & Associates Hires Kay Barron as Commercial Department Account Administrator

SAN DIEGO - July 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Kay Barron has been hired by Cavignac & Associates (http://www.cavignac.com) to serve as an account administrator within its Commercial Department, announced Jeffrey W. Cavignac, CPCU, ARM, RPLU, president and principal of the San Diego-based risk management and commercial insurance brokerage firm.

         In her new post, Barron will provide support and assistance to the agency's commercial insurance account managers and ensure the firm's clients are well served.  Specifically, she will be responsible for processing endorsements, policies and certificates of insurance; handling billing and cancellation issues; administrative follow-up; reconciling audits; and contract review. She will also be charged with performing various account manager tasks such as preparing renewal surveys, completing applications and quotations for new or renewal coverage, processing endorsement transactions, marketing new business and renewals, and preparing proposals.

         Barron brings to Cavignac & Associates 26 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently, she served as an account manager for Leavitt of San Diego, located in La Jolla, where she was employed for three years.  There, she worked in the agency's personal lines division handling all aspects of clients' insurance, from determining their needs to binding, servicing their insurance programs and assisting with claims, when needed.

         Previous experience includes having served as account manager for 5^th Avenue Insurance in San Diego; account manager for Armstrong / Robitaille / Riegle in Orange, Calif.; and account manager/producer for Williams Insurance in Fullerton, Calif.

         Barron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Lawrence University, located in Appleton, Wis.  She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and holds licenses in property & casualty, life, and accident & health insurance.

         Barron was honored as "Rookie of the Year" by the Insurance Women of Orange County.  An active member of the Point Loma Rotary Club since 2010, she has served on the board of directors for several years and currently serves as immediate past president.

         Born and raised in Chicago, Barron currently resides in the San Diego community of Mission Hills.  She has two grown sons, Stephen and John Wegner.  In her leisure time, she enjoys kayaking, bicycling and fixing up her 100-year-old Craftsman home.
