Actionable Intelligence and Lightwords Team Up to Launch Unique Office Imaging Multiclient Study

FRANKLIN, Mass. - July 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Actionable Intelligence and Lightwords Imaging announce a new multiclient study that will model the markets for document imaging hardware and supplies and forecast how these markets will develop through 2020. The companies are currently enrolling participants in the project, which is slated to conclude in the second half of 2016.

The 2013–2020 Document Imaging Market Forecast: An Analytical Multiclient Study will examine worldwide and regional markets for electrophotographic (laser and LED) printers and multifunction devices (MFDs) along with the toner cartridges these machines employ. The market model will quantify monochrome and color printers and MFDs in terms of unit shipments and revenue (in U.S. dollars) broken down by hardware vendor. The report will provide three years of historic data (20132015) along with a five-year market forecast (20162020) for three key hardware categories in five geographical regions. In addition, the report will forecast the markets for toner cartridges used in the machines.

"I couldn't be more excited about our partners or the project we've embarked on," says Charles Brewer, president of Actionable Intelligence. "We've long recognized that the industry sorely needs better market intelligence in terms of market sizing and forecasting. Working with the Lightwords analysts, we can offer clients a clear and accurate picture of where today's hardware and supplies markets are heading."

"For too long access to market-sizing data and forecasts about the direction and shape of the electrophotographic market has only been accessible to those with large budgets or as a snapshot from a conference presentation," says Peter Mayhew, director of Lightwords Imaging. "We are delighted to be working with the team at Actionable Intelligence to bring information about this market to a new audience without the need to spend tens of thousands of dollars and without compromise on the depth of knowledge and experience of the analytical team behind the numbers."

The project deliverables include an Excel workbook containing models and forecasts for hardware unit shipments and revenue as well as unit shipments and revenue for the cartridges used in these machines. Participants in the study will also receive a web-based PowerPoint presentation, which will include a client-led Q&A session. In our analysis, we will explore qualitatively the impact certain major trends are having on the office imaging markets such as the transition to business inkjet printing and changing end-user behavior. Consideration will also be given to key channel strategies used by hardware OEMs and supplies vendors.
