Whilst recent figures suggest a decline nationwide in the number of 16-24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training, they indicate significant regional disparity in outcomes for young people particularly across the north of England.

• Providing targeted support to young people who are unsure of what to do after leaving school and who may be in danger of becoming NEET
