Sipping on Summertime with Wine Riot

BOSTON - July 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Wine Riot South End, Wine Riot's first ever retail store that gives guests an educational, worldly and innovative in-store experience incorporating a mobile app and wine education while guests taste and try various types of wine. Opening in June 2016, this is Wine Riot's first summer and it will be a memorable one, featuring in-store special tastings, events at Boston restaurant and even an adult field trip to a local brewery.
Wine Riot's summer events begin on Tuesday, July 19^th, 2016, with the Summer Smackdown Series. In Wine Riot's South End store, 8 wine regions will be competing every Tuesday over the course of six weeks. The Smackdown will begin with an hour-long wine course with Wine Riot founder, Tyler Balliet. Following the course, guests will have the chance to try four wines from two of the most popular wine countries and choose the winner. All summer long, wine-lovers will be empowered with more knowledge through tasty sips and expert tips.
On Wednesday, July 27^th, 2016, from 7:00PM-10:00PM, guests have the chance to sit down with one of Chile's top winemakers, Rodrigo Zamorano at Tavern Road, a restaurant in Boston's Fort Point. Guests will enjoy a flight of four wines fromCaliterra Winery as Rodrigo walks them through the lineup. Each wine will be paired with a small plate from Tavern Road's special a la carte menu and then guests have the option to order a half glass, full glass or bottle to pair with the rest of their meal.
On Saturday, July 30^th, 2016, from 2:00PM-8:00PM, Wine Riot is switching it up from wine events and hosting the perfect adult field trip to Jack's Abby Brewery in Framingham, MA for an evening of brewery education, and of course plenty of beer. Guests can purchase a ticket, providing them transportation to and from the brewery, a full tour, delicious pub grub, beer flights and two pints of beer.
The summer fun doesn't stop there. On Wednesday, August 17^th, 2016, from7:00PM-10:00PM, Wine Riot is hosting a South African Braai, or BBQ, on the Troy Boston Roofdeck. As guests watch the beautiful sunset behind Boston's skyline, they can sip on exclusive wines from South African importer Blue Crane and enjoy some grilled food. One ticket includes three full glasses of wine, access to the tasting bar with food pairings and a traditional South African BBQ meal prepared by Chef Chelven Randolph.
