PORTSMOUTH, Va. - July 26, 2016 - PRLog -- On Saturday, August 6th, two major authors are coming to a town near you and you don't want to miss it.

One tragic event launched her to greatness. In 2007, when Kristin Meekhof was 33, her husband of four years was diagnosed with advanced adrenal cancer. Approximately eight weeks later, he died. Devastated by the loss and learning to navigate life after grief, Kristin coined her experiences and authored the book, A Widow's Guide to Healing.

Kristin has taken this work and created a platform that has her traveling all around the world and building relationships with heavyweights such as Deepak Chopra, Maria Shriver, Katie Couric and countless others. Kristin's work has appeared in Organic Spa magazine, Huffington Post, Maria Shriver, The Shriver Report, Intent, The Elephant Journal, Psychology Today, ESME. She is honored to be a part of the forthcoming book: Live Happy: Ten Practices for Choosing Joy (Harper Elixir, March 2016).

Shahara Wright, Esq., is a CEO, business law attorney, professor, community leader, speaker and author. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University and Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law.  Shahara founded The CEO Effect, LLC to work with small business owners who want to position themselves to accelerate growth. She has been the owner and Lead Attorney of The Wright Firm, PLLC for 15 years. Shahara provides small and mid-sized companies with legal and business strategies including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, investor packages and contracts.

Recently, Shahara published her first book, From Entrepreneur to CEO, to illustrate how to position your business to accelerate growth. She has taken her experience with product development and bringing products from mere concept to a fully developed and manufactured brand, and fashioned it into a strategic guide on how you can do the same.
