This book creatively chronicles Daryl's experiences as he journeys through the ups and downs of a serious relationship. There is a lot to learn about being with someone, striving together, learning from each other, growing together, and so much more. During Daryl's own journey through love, he believed he knew enough about relationships to successfully negotiate the constantly shifting terrain of love.  However, like many others, Daryl discovered very quickly that was not the case.

In the book The Four Phases of Love, you'll follow two young lovers from the time they meet and as they journey together, encountering obstacles that threaten to douse the flames of their love. The obstacles these young lovers encounter are not typical; however, the obstacles symbolize those things many of us can relate to.

More than just a story, The Four Phases of Love is a book about the phases of love one engages in upon entering a relationship with another person. The 4 phases of love include courtship, marriage, chaos, and utopia. The concepts concerning love, like religion, are fairly universal. What differs are the perspectives each unique individual will establish.

Daryl has been writing and participating in various writing events since his days in high school. He later attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and spent several years as United States Marine. Daryl graduated from National University with a Master in Fine Arts and from Walden University with a Master in Information Systems Management. Daryl currently works as an information and knowledge manager supporting the U.S. Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, CA. In his spare time, Daryl writes for the publisher Abolitic Books.
