Trompe L'oeil is a luxury ready-to-wear collection for men and women who adore art. The apparels are designed based on the concept of illusion and are inspired by abstract art. The uniqueness of Trompe L'oeil is the fact that each of our apparels carries a story through modern art designs. Each piece is an example of classic artwork rather than being just an outfit. Every piece of the collection is designed as an expression of one's inner self, and the story of the design reflects the soul of the person wearing it. Fashion designer Rajitha Prakruthi, founder and CEO of Trompe L'oeil, endeavors to create a new perspective about fashion: "Fashion is not about the outfit you wear, but about the revolutionary statement it makes."

The fabrics used are silk crepe and pop crepe for womenswear, and bamboo cotton/ organic cotton for menswear.

About this project

As a tribute to the field of art, we aim to recognize and accolade the hidden talents of underprivileged children with special abilities.

Touchalife, is a foundation in the Southern region of India, that is dedicated towards alleviation of human and animal suffering by supporting selected activities of charitable, scientific, literary and educational nature. The foundation also provides sustainable livelihood options, basic amenities, health and medical facilities, and education for children working towards environmental issues, animal care etc. Website: http://touchalife.co

After reviewing the broad spectrum of society that they serve, we, at Trompe L'oeil, are more interested in serving the underprivileged children with special abilities by promoting their education and skill development. Our monetary donations are dedicated towards promoting the education and well being of these children. The objective is not just limited to providing financial support; but it extends further to create a new platform to exhibit the talent of these challenged children and thereby uplift their morale.

As part of Trompe L'oeil's social responsibility initiative, we intend to encourage these kids by creating platforms for them to exhibit their talent through our brand. Some of these children create marvelous artwork. Our apparels (primarily T-shirts) are printed with the designs created by these children. Apart from Trompe L'oeil's own creations, these apparels are exhibited separately as part of our philanthropy exhibition, and sold. A percentage of the monetary benefits through these sales is directed towards the education and wellbeing of these children.

The designs are named after the respective child artists, and some basic details of the artist are mentioned while displaying the designs. This provides them a remarkable recognition on an international platform and instills a strong sense of confidence in them about being in par with the world. We believe that recognition uplifts their morale and encourages them to nurture their talent and compete with the world.
