L-Tron Corporation Heads Up Book Drive for Golisano Children's Hospital

VICTOR, N.Y. - July 20, 2016 - PRLog -- L-Tron Corporation is pleased to announce the start of a charitable book drive to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital's Reach Out and Read program. L-Tron, along with other Rochester-area businesses, will contribute children's books to the Reach Out and Read program throughout the month of July.

Reach Out and Read (http://reachoutandread.org/) is a nation-wide program with a mission of providing young children, ages 6 months to 5 years old, "a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together." The goal is to encourage parents to read with their children at home, supporting the development of literacy and good reading habits. Golisano Children's Hospital's program does not have a budget and relies solely on books supplied from donations, grants and fundraisers.

According to a head nurse at Golisano Children's Hospital, "Our current supply is completely depleted of board books for the youngest patients. We are in desperate need of board books for infants, toddlers and preschoolers."
