Christian singer Appointed takes home two 2016 Radio Alliance Awards

AUGUSTA, Ga. - July 18, 2016 - PRLog -- Gospel recording artist Appointed  racked up two 2016 Radio Alliance Awards (RAA) winning  the Urban Contemporary Female Artist of The Year award and the Urban Contemporary Song of The Year award for her single, "Call Me" this past week-end.  The RAA was presented by visionaries Pastor Keithron Powell & Teresa Tyree Powell, founders of the Independent Gospel Artist Radio Alliance ( IGARA) and iGospel Radio.

With over one thousand  entrants, the nominee field was narrowed down by public voting and by industry voting that included a panel of numerous gospel radio affiliates.  The awards reflects the heart of the Powells to innovate in the process of developing the independent artist as well as  be pioneers in the distribution of independent gospel music and so much more.

"Such an incredibly wonderful moment to hear my name announced as one of the recipients of an RAA was so unreal," pipes Appointed.  "Hearing my name a second time was bananas. I am so thankful to the Lord and everyone who has believed in me and carried this ministry in their hearts, amazing," she continues.

Call Me is a worship criers song and has charted as the number one song on Synergy 1 Radio and the NIA Radio Network as well as in the Top 10 on several radio stations that include WVOD Radio and Rejoice America Radio.  Call Me, Appointed's hallmark song led to her being honored as the Zeta Gospel Music Award Female Vocalist of the Year (Urban).

Appointed's new single "Opposites" is featured on a compilation project titled Domonique Mitchell Presents Inspirational Music For The Soul (IMFTS)  that is distributed through Sony/Orchard Music and Rhythm Gospel Music. Domonique Mitchell is a Sony Music Executive and owner of Rhythm Gospel Music.  Mitchell also conducts a celebrity "music" boot camp for the stars in Atlanta, Georgia.  According to Appointed, Opposites voices the contrast between her old life outside of Christ and her new life found in Christ.
