TORONTO - July 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Project Get Reel, the only company in Canada dedicated to recycling VHS and other media tapes, is inviting everyone to attend their recycling drive on July 23, 2016, between 10:00 and 15:00.

Project Get Reel (PGR) encourages anyone who is looking to dispose of their aging or obsolete entertainment objects, such as VHS tapes, 8-Tracks, CDs, DVs, audio tapes, floppy discs, vinyl records, and DVDs to stop-by 116 Industry Street, Toronto. For a small fee, PGR will dismantle and recycle the products in an environmentally conscious fashion and can offer an additional service to ensure privacy protection. The company has been generating interest around the project. PGR has been featured on news programs on major networks, such as the CBC and Waste Management World News in the UK.  The founders of the company now believe they have the operational capacity to handle the flow of even more tapes.

Of the event, PGR co-founder Philip Yan said, "For a small processing fee,
we'll rid you of those obsolete videos most people can't even watch anymore. Dropping-off your old tapes with us will free-up space in people's basements, closets, shelves, and bookcases. Reclaiming storage space saves consumers money, time, and room."
There is more than just a financial benefit to bringing your VHS tapes to PGR. With potentially over 2 billion VHS tapes in Ontario, PGR sees the value in recycling the VHS and other media tapes as an environmentally responsible solution. Simply throwing them in the garbage is not a viable option. "We recycle more than 80% of the tapes. It just makes sense. Overall, it's a win-win situation for everyone." Yan continued.

Project Get Reel is Canada's leading innovative recycling business that specializes in recycling VHS and other media tapes. The Toronto-based social enterprise also employs disadvantaged citizens who otherwise might not acquire work, or skills needed to thrive in the community.
