DEDHAM, Mass. - July 18, 2016 - PRLog -- Chief Financial Officer Michael Barbarita shares his advice on how to deal with inferior employees in his latest blog post.  Michael writes that even though many believe that the easy answer is to fire the employee, there are still a lot of looming questions like:

·What if the employee market is really thin?

·What if the firing of the employee leads to a loss of business for an unknown period of time?

·What if training costs to train the new employee is too expensive?

As a part-time CFO and former business owner, Michael has ran into this circumstance before.  What he learned was that the price of keeping the inferior employees is more costly than firing them.  This is because inferior employees are the quintessential "bad apples" that spoil the whole bunch.  As a result, the business becomes inefficient, ineffective, and disserving to the customer.

In order to avoid a situation like this, the business owner must take every precaution necessary during the hiring process as well as during the employee's first 90 days on the job.
