Treether -- Wallets Made with Premium and Rare Wood

LOS ANGELES - July 18, 2016 - PRLog -- When it comes to redesigning the "wallet", many brands go after a "sleek" design with better functionality for the user. Treether is definitely a bold statement and not a typical wallet design. "This [wood] is the most luxurious treasure in the world," said David Xu, the creator of Treether. "I wanted everyone to experience the beauty of wood, so I decided to design Treether using wood and leather to give people a chance to see the charms of nature."

Mr. Xu is very familiar with wood materials due to his past architectural design experience. One day during his visit to a wood warehouse, he noticed some light being dispersed by the natural oils on the surface of a piece of Macassar ebony. "You would not believe that a piece of wood can shine so brightly," said Mr. Xu. On that day, the idea of Treether was born.

However, combining vegetable tanned leather and wood veneer is not an easy task. The thin sheeting of wood is very fragile when bent, and each stitch can destroy the wood if not done carefully enough. It took a long development process and countless refinements to reach a perfect product. Digital designing was Parsec Studio's innovative approach to overcoming the challenge. It allows the design software to precisely calculate every curve, corner, and stitching in every pattern. Afterwards, the leather master uses traditional methods to complete the complicated steps, such as, setting patterns, stitching, and trimming. This technique not only ensures the quality of each product, but also makes it possible to show Treether's utmost beauty.

Trees of every description have carved themselves into our lives in an enduring way. Every piece of wood on Treether is more refined after use because of the natural structure of wood fibre; the longer you use it, the more refined it becomes. "We hope that Treether can change with time, and that, is the beauty of nature," said Mr. Xu.
