SCORE Volusia/Flagler & BCU Plan BizFest Expo for Entrepreneurs this September

PALM COAST, Fla. - July 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Volusia/Flagler SCORE Chapter 87 and Bethune-Cookman University are pleased to announce that they will hold a BizFest Expo for Entrepreneurs on September 15^th, 2016 at the Bethune-Cookman Performing Arts Center in Daytona Beach.

"This is a great opportunity for business owners and executives to network and gain some valuable knowledge from the panel and round table discussions," said Chapter President Tom Hellman. "We're enthusiastic about the success of the event and the event producers that have partnered with us so far," added Hellman.

Event producers include Brown & Brown, Florida Health Care Plans, SunTrust, and Volusia County. The event will offer at PitchFest for business owners to present their business ideas for cash prizes. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available and range from table top exhibitors to producers. The event includes a box lunch, networking/B2B, table top exhibits, a keynote speaker, a wine and cheese reception for VIP registrants, as well as panel and round table discussions.

Panel discussions include 'How to be an Entrepreneur' and 'Social Media Marketing'. Round table discussions include; Business Insurance, Financing Your Business, E-mail Marketing, Healthcare Plans, Payroll Processing and Free SCORE Services.

The event will be held from 11:30am until 7:00pm on September 15^th. The Bethune-Cookman Performing Arts Center is located at 698 West International Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach, FL. The Volusia/Flagler SCORE Chapter celebrated its 50^th year serving clients in 2015. Last year, they provided over 1,400 counseling services for some 775 entrepreneurs, many of whom have gone on to start businesses or improve existing businesses. In addition, the Chapter conducts free workshop programs, in collaboration with the UCF Incubator, which attracted over 2,100 attendees last year. The Chapter has also received the Platinum Rating by the National SCORE Organization as one of the top Chapters nationwide.
