DALLAS - July 15, 2016 - PRLog -- According to American Express OPEN, Texas is second only to California as home to the greatest number of women-owned businesses in 2016 and tied for first place in growth, employment, and revenues over the past nine years.

Petya Edwards, founder of the Dallas-based networking group for women, attests to this growth. "In a year's time our networking meetings went from one attendee to over 100 entrepreneurs meeting weekly."

The meetings encourage regular attendance by reserving more focus networking sessions for members who have attended five or more meetings. Likewise, events around the event support the active lifestyle of entrepreneurs while highlighting member businesses.

"The 'Spa & Photoshoot' night was very popular," said Edwards who built three businesses prior to the networking group. "Members provided hair, makeup, and photography services to create professional photos for all attendees."

Edwards believes that the increased presence of online marketing makes personal interactions "rare and more crucial than ever."

"Face-to-face is still the place for doing business," she said. "Online is great, but the best referrals and strategic partnerships come from getting to know someone personally."

Attendance to the Women's Networking Day is being held at the Prestonwood Country Club in Dallas and is open to any women focused on personal or professional development by visiting www.DallasWomenEntrepreneurs.com.
