William Fulbright in 1946. "Having a Fulbright Grantee placed at the Kent State University College of Business Administration reflects favorably upon the reputation of the College," said Economics Department Chair Donald R. Williams, Ph.D. "This honor shows the strength of research done by the faculty and Economics Department." The Fulbright Program works two ways: U.S. citizens may receive funding to go to a foreign country or non-U.S. citizens may come to the U.S. Candidates recommended for Fulbright grants have high academic achievement, a compelling project proposal and/or statement of purpose, demonstrated leadership potential and flexibility and adaptability to interact successfully with the host community abroad. "The College of Business Administration is always creating opportunities for international students," said Dean Deborah F. Spake. "Hosting a student from the prestigious Fulbright Program shows the innovation and global impact the college provides." The Fulbright Program is administered by cooperating organizations like the Institute of International Education. It operates in more than 160 countries around the world. The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs sponsors the Fulbright Program from an annual appropriation from the U.S. Congress. Additional direct and in-kind support comes from partner governments, foundations, corporations, and host institutions both in and outside the U.S. To learn more about the Fulbright Program, visit http://www.cies.org/ To learn more about the College of Business Administration's M.A. Economics program, visit http://business.kent.edu/ ### Kent State University's College of Business Administration is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) and one of the largest colleges of business in Ohio.
