ATLANTA - July 15, 2016 - PRLog -- The Hon. Randy Rolle, Bahamas Consul General in Atlanta, was among ten men recognized by the Atlanta Business League (ABL) at its 10th Annual Men of Influence Reception and Induction Ceremony Tuesday, July 12 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

The Men of Influence honorees, according to the ABL, are African American men from metro Atlanta communities who: have reached senior level positions within their profession, are leading entrepreneurs in their industry, have achieved history-making feats, or have achieved broad levels of influence in politics and government. They have demonstrated their commitment to the citizens of metro Atlanta by their significant involvement in community and civic activities.

Mr. Rolle who is based at the Bahamas Consulate Atlanta Office has a jurisdiction of 10 southern states. He is the youngest Consul General in the history of the Bahamas and is a graduate of Bethune Cookman College and Johnson & Whales University, a member of Kappa Alpha  Psi Fraternity and a former football standout with the Commonwealth American Football League's Nassau Sunburners. He has spent a considerable amount of time since his appointment in July 2013 insuring that his staff, Bahamian students attending college in the metro area and Bahamian residents of Atlanta are involved in civic and community as well as business ventures in a major way.

Others recognized during the ceremony were: Lee Baker, CFP, President. AARP of Georgia; Sterling Coleman, President & CEO SJAC Food Groups, LLC and licensee of Zaxby Franchising; Timothy Jefferson, Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer Grady Health System; Brian Pauling, CPA, President & CEO 100 Black Men of America, Inc.; Byron E. Small, Photo Journalist Atlanta Business Chronicle; Courtney I. Smith V.P., Community Development Market Manager PNC Bank and T. Dallas Smith, President & CEO, T. Dallas Smith & Company

In addition to inducting eight as Men of Influence during a pinning ceremony, the life of Horace T. Ward, the first African American to hold the position of United States Judge, was recognized posthumously with the Legacy Award. Judge Ward also served nine years as in the Georgia State Senate.

Dr. Lonnie G. Johnson the inventor the popular toy the Super Soaker and a NASA engineer who holds more than 100, mostly energy related patents, was inducted into the ABL Legends Hall of Fame.

The ABL established in 1933, is an affiliate of the National Business League, an organization founded by Booker T. Washington in 1900 to help foster and grow effective and profitable business leadership.
