Cardiff Development Partners Hires Industry Veteran Rick Chancellor as Partner

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - July 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Cardiff Development Partners announced today that 30-year veteran real estate executive Rick Chancellor has joined the firm as a Partner.  In this role, he will be responsible for identifying new retail development opportunities, overseeing project design and collaborating with broker representatives on tenant leasing.

Rick's broad range of experience includes representing landlords for many different types of retail properties, consulting on project conceptualization, design and tenant merchandising.

Rick is also an expert at evolving and expanding retail and restaurant brands as a principal and tenant representative, having worked both in-house and as an exclusive broker.  "I am thrilled to join the Cardiff Development Partners team and I look forward to using my expertise to help them grow their portfolio of successfully developed retail properties," according to Rick.

Previous to joining Cardiff, Rick was Western Region VP for The McDevitt Company, a global real estate firm representing tenants and landlords in high streets, shopping districts, lifestyle centers, mixed-use projects and regional malls.  His responsibilities included developing and implementing growth strategies throughout most of the US for a variety of top brands including Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Calypso St. Barth, Carhartt, David Yurman, Dr Martens, James Perse, Jonathan Adler, L'Occitane, Paper Source, Steven Alan, Theory and TOMS.

Prior to that, Rick served as President and CEO of Robeks Juice, where he evolved a small company-owned concept into a franchise chain in over 30 major metropolitan areas across the United States. Before that he held several other commercial real estate positions including Director of Store Development at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Area Real Estate Manager at Blockbuster and Commercial Retail Broker at CBRE.

Rick is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI), and has been a guest speaker for both organizations.  He is also a licensed California real estate broker and a graduate of UCLA, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
