Follow on Google News | Armitage Construction carries out refurbishment of the Coach House at Literary Legend's homeBy: Armitage Construction Highly skilled specialists from the company's full-time team of qualified craftsmen, many of whom were involved in Armitage Construction's previous extensive refurbishment work on the historic Grade 11 listed Neoclassical Villa, are creating an educational space in the Coach House. "Our team has played a significant role in various building projects at the Elizabeth Gaskell House and we are delighted to have been called on again," said Armitage Construction director Andrea Armitage, speaking from the company's Ancoats HQ. "This 19th century villa is an important part of Manchester's history and we are delighted to be involved in ensuring its welfare. After all, Armitage Construction's 140 plus years in the building industry ensures we have the skills and the know-how required to protect and preserve these treasured buildings of yesteryear. "The work we are currently undertaking is the refurbishment of the Coach House to create an educational space which includes structural openings and installation of steelwork, power, lighting, boiler and redecoration of fascias and windows."
