36th India International Trade Fair (IITF) to begin on Monday in Delhi

The fair this year will be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee and have the theme of 'Digital India'.
 
INDORE, India - Nov. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- New Delhi, Pragati Maidan, is all set to host the India International Trade Fair, in which it is expected over 7,000 firms from India and overseas are participating. The fair inaugurates on Saturday by President Pranab Mukherjee under theme of 'Digital India'.

As per International Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the participants comprise 280 companies from 24 countries, 27 states, four union territories, apart from many government agencies, and nearly 1,000 rural artisans and craft persons.

The event will last 14 days, which has been divided into two segments viz. business days and General Public days, setting for November 14 to 18 and November 19 to 27, respectively. The theme of the fair is 'Make in India' project launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Moreover, there will be a lot of focus on a initiatives like Digital India, Swach Bharat Abhiyan and also this fair will be used as the platform for state governments and ministries to launch various policies. Various Cultural programmes are organized in different venues, which will be starting from the very first day of the fair and school students will be permitted to visit the fair during business days.

As per Official statement, it is expected there will be over one lakh people every day. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start selling entry tickets for the business days from Saturday to Wednesday, and for general public days from November 19th to 27th. Business days tickets are also on sale online for the first time.

Entry tickets for the general public days will be available at all Metro stations. Tickets for the business days will be available only at 32 Metro stations. The tickets can be bought from the customer care centers of the Metro stations between 9 am to 4 pm on all days. The entry tickets for the business days' are priced at Rs 400, and the tickets for general days can be bought at Rs 50 for adults and Rs 30, for children. However, on weekends, the general days' tickets will be charged Rs 80 and Rs 50 for adults and children respectively.
