ACEC/MA Announces Tighe & Bond, Inc. as 2016 winner of Silver Engineering Excellence Award

WORCESTER, Mass. - July 13, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Tighe & Bond, Inc. as a winner of their 2016 Silver Engineering Excellence Award for work on the City of North Adams E Street Solar Project.

The 2016 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with emcees MA State Senator Karen Spilka and MA Secretary of Transportation Stephanie Pollack.

Tighe & Bond, Inc., with offices throughout New England, including Worcester and Westwood, Massachusetts, teamed with Borrego Solar Systems to perform engineering services and construction administration duties for the re-use of the closed E Street Landfill in the City of North Adams.  Completed in June 2015, the 3.5 megawatt project is one of the largest of its kind in western Massachusetts.  Its output, combined with power being purchased from two nearby photovoltaic (PV) sites, makes the City 100% solar powered.

These outstanding projects are but a few examples of the quality work designed by Massachusetts and Rhode Island engineering firms."
