Volley America Juniors Long Island/NYC Metro Regionals

LONG BEACH, N.Y. - July 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Volley America Juniors has a big event coming up this weekend, July 17 in Long Beach, NY.  All players 18 years of age and under are eligible to play in the Volley America Juniors tournament.  Volley America offers divisions for boys & girls 18 & under, 16 & under, 14 & under and 12 & under.  Winners of the Girls 18U, 16U & 14U divisions will win a bid to the Volley America Juniors Nationals, which will be held on August 6-7 in Pt. Pleasant, NJ.  Trip winners will receive free entry into the tournament plus $200/player in travel expense reimbursements. All players are eligible and encouraged to compete in both Regionals and Nationals.

Junior Nationals will include a four-day series of clinics, camps and tournaments. Thursday, August 4, there will be a college showcase where players will get to show off their skills in front of college recruiters. Friday, August 5, will be a clinic where players can practice and get ready for the big tournament. Nationals will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 6-7. Pool play will occur on Saturday, where players are separated into different courts by age division and Volley America National Ranking. Players will have an entire day of tournament-style play. Sunday is reserved for playoffs.

Players earn points at every Volley America Juniors tournament they participate in that count towards the Volley America Junior Grand Prix. The top 15 players in each division at the end of the year will receive a prize from Volley America.

All tournament players are required to have a Volley America membership. Memberships cost $15/player and run from 1/1 to 12/31 of the calendar year. Membership fees will be used to fund the $50,000 2016 Grand Prix for all men's, women's & coed divisions, the Junior Grand Prix, a National Ranking System, end of season championships and insurance coverage.
