Sterlite Copper Bags 4 Star Rating CII Award

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - July 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited has bagged "4 Star Rating" in the Confereation of Indian Industry (CII) Southern Region Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Awards 2015-16 from the Confederation of Indian Industries in the award ceremony held in Chennai recently.

Mr V Jeyaselvan, Associate Manager, Safety Department, Sterlite Copper received the award from Mr Atul Renavikar, Site Director, Michelin India Private Limited and Chairman, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Conference & Awards, Confereation of Indian Industry (CII) Southern Region, Chennai.

The award was in recognition to the company's demonstration of best practices and innovation in environment management system.

A total of 114 applicants contended for the Confederation of Indian Industries Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Award 2015-16 from various manufacturing sectors. The award was conferred only after a rigorous assessment process in understanding the environment, health and safety management systems and units best practices.
