July 14, 2016 - PRLog -- As the Integration of People with Disabilities through Learning project comes to a close, FOPSIM attended the Project Meeting and Dissemination Conference held in Turin, Italy on 27th and 28th June.

During the final dissemination conference, the results of the project developed by universities and entities from seven countries that have contributed to the international Erasmus+ project were presented together with the aims and objectives of the project with the activities and output materials. The project developed active means of cooperation between higher educational and vocational centres as well as not-for-profit NGOs that work with young and adult people with disabilities.

The project has aimed to learn about the reality of each country regarding integration of people with disabilities, especially in the field of adult training, in order to create synergies and facilitate their integration to work places and access to better jobs. One of the main objectives of the project has also been to search for new work methods, such as entrepreneurship, focusing on youth, one of the most disadvantaged groups in this sector.

During the conference, FOPSIM presented the aims, objective, mission and activities implemented in the framework of the project including the results of the pilot phase of the DEM module that was organised last April and May. The conference was successfully attended by all partners.
