American Singer-Songwriter Records New Album While Living Abroad

Cleveland's Most Interesting Songstress Releases The Dutch Sessions
By: Jaclyn Bradley Palmer

GRONINGEN, Netherlands - July 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Jaclyn Bradley Palmer was named one of 2016's most interesting people by Cleveland Magazine and she has spent the year living up to the title. No stranger to music making, the veteran singer-songwriter is releasing her third album, The Dutch Sessions, a project written, recorded and conceptualized while living in The Netherlands.  The record, completely crowd-funded via Kickstarter, chronicles her journey living abroad.

First appearing on Vh1, Palmer was a regular cast member on Breaking Bonaduce while living in Los Angeles as she worked for celebrity, Danny Bonaduce, serving as his personal assistant for two years on the hit reality show. Since then, she and her music have been featured on MTV, Bravo, Time Warner, TLC, HGTV, and film. After the Hollywood era, Palmer returned to Cleveland where she was employed as a music therapist at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.  She has been recognized for her music in medicine research and recently published the largest study in history to employ live music in the surgical unit.

Palmer has always had a fascination for exploring new lands, especially Europe.  A trained opera singer, she spent summers studying classical music in Italy. Most recently, it was her husband's job which sent her overseas, this time to reside in Groningen, Netherlands. This latest adventure inspired Palmer to create her own music again and it wasn't long before the idea for a new album was born.

It all began last summer as she strolled through a famous, Dutch music festival called Noorderzon.  'It was so beautiful" she said, "stages built upon the water, strung lights decorating the night, and music filling the air.  I realized in an instant that I wanted to be a part of that."   This summer she will present her new music at that festival.

In Palmer's newest effort she collaborated with local producers, musicians and photographers to create something that reflects her American heritage, yet embraces the feelings and sounds of a new land.  She invites two Dutch singer-songwriters to join her on duets and also showcases instrumentalists who are respected musicians in their homeland.

Influenced by the sweet, soaring melodies of Joni Mitchell and the 'gutsiness' of Alanis Morisette, her emotionally attune album includes songs about love, change, travel, gun violence, oneness and motherhood.

Palmer will return to Cleveland after her sabbatical in The Netherlands, yet is proud to have released an international album. "I don't think I could rightfully belong to a place until I have made music with the country's native people," Palmer said, "through music, my heart always finds a home."

The Dutch Sessions will be available on iTunes Aug 2 and physical CD's can be purchased at http:// www.jaclynbradleypalmer.com
