More than a Dozen Musical MDs & Medical Professionals to Perform Along with Broadway Star Avery Sommers and Several Talented Kretzer Kids in Annual Benefit to Expand KPMF's Music Education Programs for Children

(West Palm Beach, FL - July 7, 2016)  The Kretzer Piano Music Foundation today announced the Talent Roster for the 5th annual PHYSICIANS TALENT SHOWCASE (PTS) that will be held at The Harriet Himmel Theater at CityPlace in West Palm Beach on Tuesday, August 16 at 7:30 pm.

The theme of this year's PTS is We Are Family. The performing physicians are affiliated with 11 local hospitals and medical institutions, including five from Jupiter Medical Center, four with Wellington Regional Medical Center, two from JFK Medical Center and one each from Elite GYN Care of the Palm Beaches, Jupiter Plastic Surgery, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Palm Beach Surgical Associates, Palms West Hospital, Sebastian River Medical Center, St. Mary's Hospital and West Palm Hospital.

Among the talented doctors and medical professionals scheduled to perform are:

+ Dr. John Fernandez from Stuart is affiliated with Emergency Medicine at Sebastian River Medical Center.  A rock singer and lead guitarist, Dr. Fernandez was part of the popular All Doctor Band in all four previous PTS events.

+ Dr. Kenneth Fuquay from West Palm Beach is affiliated with the Pulmonology Departments at both the Jupiter Medical Center and the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.  Another four-time PTS veteran, Dr. Fuquay plays the classical guitar.

+ Dr. Gordon Johnson is a retired Pathologist and former Chief of Staff of Wellington Regional Medical Center where he presently is serving on the Board. Dr. Johnson will be returning as a PTS emcee, and will perform with his wife (Dr. Linda Johnson, pianist) and son, the highly acclaimed violinist Gareth Johnson.

+ Dr. Linda Kiley is an OB/GYN from Palm Beach Gardens who will play the piano in a musical group that includes her veterinarian husband and their son and daughter.

+ Dana Oaks, the CEO of JFK Medical Center - North Campus in West Palm Beach, who will sing, accompanied by his piano-playing wife and two talented daughters. The Oaks family lives in Wellington.

+ Dr. Jill Rodila from Palm Beach Gardens is an Ophthalmologist associated with the Jupiter Medial Center. A talented harpist, she will be playing as her ballet-dancer daughter performs.

+ Dr. Lyda Rodriguez is a Pediatrician affiliated with both St. Mary's Hospital and the Jupiter Medical Center. A resident of West Palm Beach, Dr. Rodriguez is a ballroom dancer who will be performing in her third PTS along with Alex Foraponov from Dance With Us Studios.

+ Dr. Thomas Rowe is in General Surgery at Jupiter Medical Center and is Jupiter Medical's Chief of Staff.  Another four-time PTS veteran, Dr. Rowe plays the bass guitar in the doctor band.

+ Dr. Robin Shecter of Wellington is affiliated with both the Wellington Regional Medical Center and West Palm Hospital. A gifted vocalist, Dr. Shecter sang in all four previous PTS concerts and will be singing with her talented daughter and Kretzer Kid Emily.

+ Dr. Robin Sykes is a Plastic Surgeon at both Jupiter Plastic Surgery and the Jupiter Medical Center.  A talented flautist, Dr. Sykes also performed in three earlier PTS events. She will be performing with her husband Dr. Rowe and their two children.

+ Dr. Maureen Whelihan is in Obstetrics/Gynecology and is affiliated with Elite GYN Care of the Palm Beaches and Wellington Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Whelihan participated in three previous PTS events and will once again serve as emcee this August.

+ Dr. Jack Zeltzer of Lake Worth is a Vascular Surgeon associated with Palm Beach Surgical Associates, Palms West Hospital, Wellington Regional Medical Center and JFK Medical Center.   A talented drummer, Dr. Zeltzer is past president of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and another four-time PTS veteran.

The one non-medical doctor is Dr. Robin Arrigo, a concert pianist who earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of Miami. She will perform piano with her daughter on cello and also play with the doctor's band

Another special performer at this year's PHYSICIANS TALENT SHOWCASE will be singer Avery Sommers, who starred on Broadway in Ain't Misbehavin' and Showboat, in the national touring companies of Chicago (with Joel Grey and Chita Rivera) and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (with Ann-Margaret), and in shows at ArtGarage, Palm Beach Dramaworks and The Colony's Royal Room Cabaret.

Also on the bill are several talented Kretzer Kids including Broadway veteran Ben Krieger (Finding Neverland) and his sister Charlotte Krieger, vocalist Ashlyn Taylor and 13-year-old pianist Zachary Williams.
