Featuring the work of noted Photographer Jose Pagan, Benefiting Milagros Day Worldwide and its Leadership Programs for Survivors of Abuse

NEW YORK - July 8, 2016 - PRLog -- The nonprofit organization Milagros Day Worldwide will host its quarterly Open House event on Saturday, July 23rd at Brooklyn Colony, located at 274 4th Ave in Park Slope Brooklyn to invite new participants and supporters to join their initiatives for Turning Abuse Into Success.

On this day the organization will be launching a major fundraising and crowdfunding campaign with the hashtag #50ForMy50 in celebration of Founder Dawn Diaz' 50th Birthday, with the purpose of raising $50,000 to help fund its vital leadership, coaching and mentorship programs for survivors of Domestic Violence and Childhood Trauma: The Legacy Bootcamp Retreat, The Transformation Academy, and The Mother's Day Festival. See Open House flyer for more information and RSVP.

To kickoff the #50ForMy50 Campaign, a Special Premier Short Documentary Screening of Jose Pagan's 'Miracle Workers" will be shown at the Milagros Day Open House Event. This film is Pagan's account of how he was deeply moved by the courage and resilience of six survivors who were the subjects of his portrait series project with the X-Collective Arts Foundation.

For his work with Milagros Day Worldwide, Pagan, a highly acclaimed Fashion Photographer and Multi-Media Artist; received the Man of the Movement (MOM) Award at the 2016 Mother's Day Festival and continues to work closely to support and capture the vision of the organization. Pagan's next collaboration with Milagros Day will be a full-scale editorial photoshoot on August 15th featuring Founder Dawn Diaz for the #50ForMy50 Campaign.

The #50ForMy50 crowdfunding, awareness and outreach campaign will continue throughout the Milagros Day Legacy Bootcamp Retreat; a life-changing 3-day experiential workshop for survivors of abuse happening on September 23-25, and will culminate on November 19th with the Fifty Years of Fabulous Gala benefiting Milagros Day Worldwide.
