Sterlite Copper distributes Uniforms to Khushi Child Care Centre Children

TUTICORIN, India - July 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper distributed two sets of uniform to 346 children of Khushi Child Centres, a project reaching out to the underprivileged children by providing nutrition, health and education on 05.07.2016 in Khushi Child Center, Samerviaz Nagar, Thoothukudi.

Mr. A Anton, Head - Purchase, Sterlite Copper and Dr. Vellaipandiyan, Paediatrician distributed the uniforms to the children in the presence of Mr. Ambashankar, Panchayat President Incharge, Mapillaiyurani and Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer and Head CSR, Sterlite Copper.

Uniforms were distributed to the children from age group of 3 to 6 years in 11 centres. Mattakadai, SBI Colony, Attimarapatti, Bharathi Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, K.V.K Sami Nagar, M. Saveriarpuram, Kumaran Nagar, Puthu Kumaran Nagar and Thalamuthu Nagar are the other centres where uniforms were distributed to the children.

Since 2008, the Vedanta Khushi Child Care project supported about 14,000 child care centres in India, reaching approximately 500,000 rural children in the country.
