JALANDHAR, India - July 8, 2016 - PRLog -- One of the NSS volunteers and a B Tech Electronics & Electrical Engineering student of VII semester of Lovely Professional University, Nidhi Nayan visited China under International Youth Exchange Program (YEP) between India and China. The program was sponsored by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Nidhi was part of 100-member delegation of Group 1 to China, which was selected from all across India. Under this program Nidhi visited the top cities of China including Beijing, Chengdu, Guilin, Guangzhou.

During her stay in China, Nidhi Nayan not only got coveted opportunity of interacting with Chinese youth leaders but also visited prominent places of historic, educational and cultural significance. LPU student also availed the chance of meeting dignitaries of the Chinese Government, and to reach out to China's next generation. Students of both the countries exchanged their ideas on culture, tradition, education system and related things. Participants also presented cultural programs of their respective countries and traditions.

Nidhi says: "No doubt I am very far from my home but being at LPU has always been a great experience for me. Along with being good at studies, I am taught here to be responsible citizen through NSS and I got a coveted chance to be proud part of prestigious Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. This participation made me to get further selected for China Visit which has indeed made me a global citizen. Through this visit I learnt what other nationals think about our country and how we should imbibe great qualities of others by mending our shortcomings, if any. This has really instilled in me great internationalism and patriotism too. Now,  I have been motivated to prepare hard and to join Indian Army to serve the nation and to bring more laurels to my alma mater. In fact, I am short of words in praising the environment at LPU which always aims to shape and guide students as per students' likes and wants."

Congratulating the promising student for her emergence on the global scenario, LPU Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal said: "I am happy and proud to see that one more LPU student has registered international presence. To be selected for an international delegation from across the country is inspiration for other students as well. I wish Nidhi to win more accolades in future too." Continuing Mrs Mittal said: "Through such delegations, youth organizations of both the great nations can work together to channelize youth energy for constructive endeavours. I also want to extend that such government oriented youth programs should be held with more frequency and with all other countries also. These programs will indeed bring global vibrancy with all around peace, prosperity and progress."
