Natasha Hastings qualifies for Rio Olympics 2016 despite hamstring injury

DALLAS - July 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Natasha Hastings made history this past Independence Day weekend as the first Under Armour Athlete in Track and Field to qualify for the notorious Olympic Games. Leading up to this glorious moment Natasha Hastings encountered a myriad of obstacles such as failing to secure a position on the Olympic Team in 2012 and a severe hamstring injury after running in this year's ExxonMobil Bislett Games in Oslo. These major setbacks could have discouraged many but instead, Hastings showed perseverance by sticking to her training plan and executing what she had learned over the past nine years as a professional athlete. While this is Hastings second appearance in the Olympic Games (in 2008 making the 4x400M Relay) it is her first time however qualifying for the 400M individual race as well as the 4x400M relay - a dream come true for the "400 Meter Diva". She will continue treatment on her hamstring injury while preparing for training camp starting July 27^th 2016. Natasha Hastings qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics with a time of 50.17 right behind Phyllis Francis (49.94) and Allyson Felix (49.68) running the fastest time in the world in 2016.
