Capital City Black Film Festival Announces First Round of 2016 Competitive Selections

First Slate of Films Includes World and United States Premieres

AUSTIN, Texas - July 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The Capital City Black Film Festival (CCBFF) today unveiled the first round of films that have been named official selections of its 4th Annual Festival, taking place August 25-28, 2016 at the Austin Convention Center.

In addition to screening a wide variety of features, documentaries, shorts and music videos, CCBFF offers workshops, celebrity panels, director talkbacks, a youth film competition and workshop, a young adult and youth monologue contest, and special filmmaker-only programming designed to enhance their creative careers and business dealings.

"Indie filmmakers across the country and around the world are getting the message that CCBFF is the place to come not only for a great time, but for a valuable experience," said Winston G. Williams, Executive Director of the Capital City Film Festival. "Every year, we continue to grow in size and scope, and this is just the beginning!

This diverse slate of 38 films represents works from Nigeria ("Nollywood"), Spain and the United States. Additional screenings will be announced soon.
