Walmart Selects Satterfield & Pontikes for Construction of Two New Sarasota Projects

SARASOTA, Fla. - July 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) of Sarasota, an award-winning construction management and design-build company, has been awarded two contracts within a two-week span to construct Walmart stores in Sarasota. The projects include a new Walmart Neighborhood Market located on Clark Road and the addition of a liquor store to the existing University Parkway Walmart Supercenter. These contracts mark the 20^th and 21^st for S&P since the company entered the Florida market under the direction of T. Craig Campbell, director of operations.

Located on Clark Road in the Palmer Crossing shopping plaza, the 38,750-square-foot Walmart Neighborhood Market will offer customers the convenience of on-site services, such as a full pharmacy, groceries and a free store pickup service providing an easy way to shop millions of products on Walmart.com. The new store broke ground on June 15, 2016, and will employ up to 95 full- and part-time associates.

Construction on the 4,000-square-foot liquor store began on June 20, 2016, at the corner of University Parkway and Lockwood Ridge. The store will be attached to the existing Walmart Supercenter.
