Wireless Education - Risk Management courses for families, schools and businesses

KENT, U.K. - July 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Wireless Education is tackling the health concerns surrounding mobile technologies.

The American Cancer Society recently acknowledged the limitations of current radiation exposure guidelines for the possibility of microwave radiation causing cancer. This announcement was based on results from the US Government National Toxicology Program (NTP) and its recent findings: long-term exposure to microwave radiation from cell phones causes brain and heart cancer. Additional animal studies, cell studies and human epidemiological studies point to increased health risk from all of our cellular and wireless devices including DNA damage, genotoxicity, neurotoxicity, infertility and more.

Simultaneously, insurance companies are informing us that they will not compensate for damages caused by mobile device usage. The trend within the wireless technology space has changed over the years: what was once thought to be safe now has citizens all over the world taking precautions at scientists' urging.  Wireless Education has developed e-learning courses to provide balanced education and teach safer ways to use mobile devices and wireless technology.

Wireless technology is commonly used today with nearly every home, business, hospital and school equipped with Wi-Fi and 3G/4G technologies. Our homes have 24-hour Wi-Fi routers, cordless DECT handsets and mobile devices that constantly emit microwave radiation searching for the strongest signal to download data and keep us connected. With office rental space a costly commodity, businesses are de-centralising and moving to Smart Working Wi-Fi environments. Hot desking and working from home are becoming the norm. All this increases cumulative microwave radiation exposure levels.

"The benefits of wireless technology are immense and in order to utilise it safely, risk management should be at the forefront," says Brett West, Education Director at Wireless Tech Safety. "We believe people would prefer to be presented with the clear information they need to make informed decisions about how to use their technology safely."

Through education courses and corporate induction programmes, the Wireless Education e-learning portal provides information about current medical concerns surrounding technology and recommended guidelines to use it more safely. Businesses are able to apply best practice in the use of their wireless technology to ensure their employees are working in safe office environments. Families and schools can take a similar course which provides all the information needed to make wireless devices safer to use.

Wireless Education offers a free quiz to test one's knowledge, or those wishing to learn more, for about the cost of a movie ticket. In under an hour one can come up to speed on wireless technology risks and identify safe technology solutions to use at home, work and school.

Wireless Education is the e-learning portal for Wireless Tech Safety. Wireless Education constantly monitors current international legislation, regulatory changes, and medical advisories in order to provide best practice recommendations and safety protocols within organisational, school and home environments.
