London to host the Libya Trade and Investment Forum, reports Healy Consultants

SINGAPORE - July 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Yesterday the Libyan Investment Authority announced that for the first time they will be holding a UK and Libya Trade and Investment Forum in London slatted for late October this year.

The forum has been setup in collaboration with the UK Middle East Association and the Developing Markets Associates (DMA) to spear head campaigns stressing on the need to open doors for investments in Libya and rebuild the country.

The chairman of the Libyan Investment Authority, AbdulMagid Breish, remarked that the forum will outline the potential of and opportunities available in Libya, while focusing mainly on energy, infrastructure and the country's financial sector.

"We are looking forward to holding this important forum as London is considered the heart of the financial world and the right place to discuss the economic program that the Libyan government developed aiming to rebuild the Libyan institutions and infrastructure," said Breish.

The forum will also focus on matching the potential businesses and international investors with the available opportunities in Libya. Key to the forum will also be the discussions around potential co-investment possibilities with the private sector on key projects.

Also speaking on the same, the Chief Executive of Middle East Association (MEA), Peter Meyer, stated that the positive involvement of the UK government in the planned forum underscore the vital role the UK investors and businesses together with the UK government will continue to play in Libya's future.
