27 percent of online orders are returned in India - eCommerce Report by Chitrangana.com

MUMBAI, India - July 1, 2016 - PRLog -- A report data has been published by Chitrangana.com, leading e-commerce consultancy firm reveal return order data for the various category. The report mentioned average 27% order registered online returns by the consumer whereas the consultancy claims 36% order in apparel category is returned.

The report highlighted men's apparel category hits very low return rate, and it does not go more than 28% in India. The pioneer e-commerce consultant Mr Nitin Lodha said the women apparel category register 44% returns in India. The data has been prepared on the database of consultancy's client base and courier sample taken during Q3 and Q4 FY 2015-16.

The senior consultant at Chitrangan said, "Men do not spend much time and browse 70% less page than women, the men shoppers are very particular before they buy the cloth and Such kind of behavior is reduced the return rate dramatically. The majority of the return for the Men category register due to fitting issue only whereas the designs or colour choice is not the major concern for the group ."

The report said, the online shopping for fashion is leading the overall industry without any doubt and secure 65% order from women apparel category in clothing category, whereas the men also lead the footwear category.

Investigation showed that average 42.5% customer shop at least three times to buy something from the same store; they continue shopping to the same store until they do not get negative experience during any complaint or frustrating response from customer support.
