By: Maryland Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants Dr. Julius Hyatt was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He attended the University of Maryland College Park and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Hyatt completed residencies in general practice and anesthesiology before going on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland. Dr. Hyatt is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has been recognized many times as a specialist in implant dentistry and bone grafting. He provides continuing education to local dentists in his community and is a member of the Dean's Faculty for the University of Maryland Dental School. Currently, Dr. Hyatt serves as Division Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Hyatt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Hyatt currently holds professional memberships in the American Dental Association, the Middle Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Maryland State Dental Association, among others. Outside the office, Dr. Hyatt enjoys spending time with his wife Barbara, daughters Allison and Anna, and son Jacob. Some of his favorite activities include golf and skiing with his family.
