DigiExam wins EdTechXGlobal All Stars Award

LONDON - July 1, 2016 - PRLog -- We won! Multi-award winning Swedish start-up DigiExam, creator of the secure end-to-end digital assessment and grading platform for schools and universities, is thrilled to announce it has scooped an EdTechXRise 20 Award in the EdTechXGlobal All Stars Awards programme.  The awards run by EdTechXEurope are designed to celebrate the world's top-performing, rising, non-profit and investor top 20 for 2016.

The panel of judges, together with partners City & Guilds and Kemp Little, considered a number of factors when making their choice - including revenue growth, scale, innovation and market impact. They selected DigiExam because it has shown significant innovation and growth over the last year.

Launched in 2014, DigiExam's digital assessment, exam and grading solution is used in 1000+ schools and universities spanning 50 countries including the UK, USA, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, Canada, Russia, Germany, France, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Colombia, Turkey, India, South Africa and Nigeria. Over 130,000 students have used the system and more than 300,000 digital assessments and exams have been delivered.

In 2016 DigiExam secured $3.5 million Series A funding from a syndicate of tech entrepreneurs and investors from Europe and Asia, including Joen Bonnier, of the Bonnier family, owner of the largest media group in Sweden. Previous backers Gustav Söderström (CPO of Spotify), Sophia Bendz (former CMO of Spotify), and Sven Hagströmer (early investor and previous Chairman of Unicorn Klarna) also participated.

A software-as-a-service (Saas) offering, DigiExam's intuitive platform makes it easy for instructors and teachers to work collaboratively to prepare assessments and exams and to grade quickly and efficiently. This frees up quality time for important teacher-student interaction and feedback designed to improve student outcomes.

DigiExam's platform makes it a lot easier for students as they are all 'digital natives'. Students can use a device with which they are familiar, type faster than they write, be assessed in an unbiased fashion and say goodbye to writer's cramp.
