BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - July 5, 2016 - PRLog -- The LA Femme International Film Festival (LAFIFF) announces that David A. Jackson, President, and Shauna Shapiro Jackson, Executive V.P. of The SC Group of Companies which includes SC Global Media, Inc., Showcase Entertainment, Inc. and Showcase For Kids, will judge the finalists in the Feature Documentary category for the 12th Annual LA Femme International Film Festival. "We are very excited to have David and Shauna Jackson jump on board this year, screening content from our talented filmmakers," stated Leslie LaPage, Founder of the LAFIFF.

The SC Group, David Jackson and Shauna (Shapiro) Jackson, will be assisting in selecting the winner of the Documentary Category for the 2016 festival in hopes of offering a potential distribution contract to some of this year's talented filmmakers. The SC Group has successfully marketed and licensed over three hundred films worldwide in all categories. Some of their past content line includes talent such as Tobey Maguire, John Malkovich, Kiefer Sutherland, Robert Downey, Jr., Sean Penn, Stanley Tucci, Matt LeBlanc, Kathy Bates, Rob Schneider, Jeff Daniels and many more. But it is the company's stellar reputation that precedes them in distribution markets worldwide, which is due to the two main driving forces behind this company.

Company heads David Jackson and Shauna Shapiro Jackson were previously the co-founders of the worldwide distribution company, Curb/Esquire Films (currently Curb Communications), where they also served as President and Executive Vice President, respectively. Further, they served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Production and Acquisitions, respectively, of Curb/Musifilm, whose partners included Universal Pictures.

While at Curb/Musifilm, the company developed and co-produced "Sex, Lies and Videotape," which won the Cannes Film Festival for Best Picture.

In addition to distribution, Jackson and Shapiro Jackson have been actively producing films and TV series over the past 20 years, among which is the feature film "You May Not Kiss The Bride," starring Katharine McPhee, Rob Schneider, Kathy Bates, Mena Suvari, Dave Annable and Vinnie Jones. They also served as executive producers on "Flight 29 Down" for NBC/Discovery Kids, and they were instrumental in helping the producers of "The Wannabes" get their hit TV series made.

Both Jackson and Shapiro Jackson started out as attorneys specializing in the area of Entertainment. (https://www.thescmediagroup.com/home.html)
