July Exhibit at the Geary Gallery in Darien, CT

DARIEN, Conn. - June 30, 2016 - PRLog -- This July, the Geary Gallery of Darien is proud to present "The Art of Relaxation and Awareness" featuring the meditative realistic and abstract paintings of Norwalk fine artist, Lori DuBois-Caruso. Her exhibit runs July 1 - 30 at the Geary Gallery located at 576 Boston Post Road in Darien.

Featured Artist, July: Lori DuBois-Caruso

Born into a culture of artists in New York, art was the fabric of painter Lori DuBois-Caruso's family and upbringing.

Currently a resident of Norwalk, CT, she studied business and marketing in New York. After a successful career in marketing and graphic design, she rekindled her passion for art and returned to her painting roots. This reunion brought new focus and direction to her life's work. Today, her focus is creating soothing renderings to heighten awareness of natural surroundings and invoke relaxation.

DuBois-Caruso's highly regarded Natural Elements Series introduced a blend of realistic and abstract views of nature and movement.

In addition, many of her exhibitions feature unique abstractions as a portrayal of well-balanced texture and refinement. Her collections are rendered primarily in acrylic and well known for capturing the essence of the sea, earth, and ever-changing skyline. "How fortunate we are to have nature's symphony of color and subjects as a backdrop for our lives. Within each day, no matter the time or season, the sky is an open canvas of infinite and perfected color and formation; we only need take the time to notice," says DuBois-Caruso.

Her award winning works have been juried by highly renowned museum curators and artists and represented at esteemed venues and institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, The Mattatuck Museum, Waterbury, CT, The Greens at Cannondale, Wilton, CT, Meadow Ridge, Redding, CT, Greenwich Flinn Gallery, Greenwich Bendheim Gallery, Stamford Art Association, Stamford Ferguson Library, Stamford Loft Artists Gallery, Westport Art Society, Art Society of Old Greenwich, Pequot Library, Southport, CT, Carriage Barn Arts Center, NewCanaan, CT, Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Darien Arts Center, Saint Aloysius Parish, New Canaan, CT, and the New York City Architectural Digest Home Design Show.
