LINCOLN, U.K. - June 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Talent Match is a £108m Big Lottery Fund project that helps young people aged 18 to 24 who are out of work for more than 12 months, divided into 21 Local Economic Partnership areas around England. Talent Match Lincolnshire, a partnership led by The Prince's Trust, has recently undertaken two commissioning rounds.

Within the first round of commissioning, Voluntary Centre Services, part of Urban Challenge Ltd, has been awarded the contract to offer Youth Advocate Talent Match services in Gainsborough. This will provide excellent opportunities for Gainsborough young people, not only volunteering but for networking in the wider community. Based in the Guildhall, Voluntary Centre Services is ideally placed within the Public Services Hub at West Lindsey District Council which also includes Jobcentre Plus, Citizen's Advice, Housing Benefit, Council Tax and access to public use computers.

Within a second round of commissioning, LEAP Ltd, Boston College and Acis have been awarded the contracts in Lincoln, Boston and Gainsborough respectively. With two Area Ambassadors in place, the project will be opening recruitment to fill the vacancies, and a further commissioning round will be taking place for a host organisation to support an Area Ambassador in the East Lindsey area.

Paula Batchelor, Manager of Talent Match Lincolnshire, commented,

"I'm delighted to welcome the newly commissioned organisations to the Talent Match team and the wealth of experience they bring with them. I am confident that they will be quickly up to speed and making an impact in the area, reaching out to those young people most in need of support."

Talent Match is unique in that by providing collective support from a range of local organisations including employers, education providers and others, Talent Match can help young people get the skills and confidence they need to get back into work, education or training. With one to one support tailored to their needs, young people can also gain access to a range of programmes and enterprise initiatives and a range of different experiences and work out what their life goals are.

If you are, or know of, a young person interested in receiving support from Talent Match, contact talentmatch.lincolnshire@princes-trust.org.uk. In addition, if you are an employer who could offer an opportunity to a local young person either for experience or as paid employment, then please contact us as above.
