There was a discernible pall over the proceedings when America's Most Liked Wrestling returned to the Southside Recreation Center in High Point, NC for the AML Prestige title championship tournament. While the event went off without a hitch, AML staff said goodbye to one of the most invaluable friends the sport of wrestling ever knew, "The Warden" Emily Miller. Emily, who spent parts of five decades in the sport, sadly passed away last month. The AML wrestlers and support staff dedicated the AML Prestige title tournament to "The Warden," complete with saving her a rose-adorned front-row seat. Also, prior to the main show, AML owner Tracy Myers led the entire AML locker room ringside for the ceremonial ten-bell salute. The loss of Emily Miller leaves an enormous void in the hearts of wrestling fans everywhere, but especially in the hearts of her "home" promotion, America's Most Liked Wrestling.

Now, for the OFFICIAL RESULTS of the AML Prestige Tournament. All tournament matches were four-corners matches, lucha libre style.

SEAN DENNY (with Mark Denny, out with a neck injury) defeated MATT SIGMON, ELLIOT RUSSELL, and BRANDON SCOTT to advance to the finals of the AML Prestige Tournament. In a match in which both AML Tag Team Champions Sigmon and Russell had the benefit of wrestling in the same match, Denny was able to use a newly introduced green mist to get a schoolboy rollup on Russell for the win. After the match, Sigmon and Russell double teamed Denny and used a steel chair to severely injure his left leg, with the damage only stopping when Mark Denny, Brandon Scott and Axton Ray chased the Heat Seekers out of the ring. Denny hobbled to the locker room, his availability for the finale in question.

CAPRICE COLEMAN beat JASON KINCAID, JOSEPH BLACK, and JAXSON JAMES to advance to the Prestige championship finale. Seconds after Black hit an amazing double german suplex on Kincaid and James, Coleman hit his sky splitta off the top turnbuckle to secure a pinfall victory to secure a chance for him to win his second AML championship.

In a special challenge match, KEN DIXON upset BRUTAL BOB EVANS by pinfall. This was Dixon's AML singles debut (his partner Joe Keys was in the Prestige tourney) and the AML debut for the venerable Evans.

"PICTURE PERFECT" JORDAN KAGE beat JOE KEYS, CALEB KONLEY, and AXTON RAY to advance to the finale of the AML Prestige Tournament. Kage pinned Ray after his finisher, the "Fuzzy 8x10" a face-forward piledriver off the 2nd rope while the other opponents were on the arena floor.

CEDRIC ALEXANDER (w/Tommy Thomas) beat RAPHAEL KING, RAYO, and TIMMY LOU RETTON. Tommy Thomas interfered in the match, breaking up a three count when King had Alexander pinned. A distracted King was then hit with Alexander's lumbar check finisher for a tainted-but-official three count.

KING SHANE WILLIAMS defeated WILDMAN KONGO to retain the AML Wrestling Championship after 18 minutes of tough action. With much difficulty, Williams was able to piledrive the behemoth Kongo twice to garner a pinfall to retain the title.

In the finale of the AML Wrestling Prestige Championship tournament, CEDRIC ALEXANDER beat CAPRICE COLEMAN, JORDAN KAGE, and SEAN DENNY in a four-way elimination match to become the inaugural AML Wrestling Prestige Champion. Denny was hobbled by his previous leg injury at the hands of the Heat Seekers and was dispatched after a lumbar check. After being double teamed for several minutes, Caprice Coleman then was able to get the surprise pin on Jordan Kage, leaving the former friends Alexander and Coleman to fight for the gold. Again, the interference of Tommy Thomas was critical, as he distracted Coleman long enough for Alexander to hit him with TWO lumbar checks to get the pinfall. Cedric Alexander is the NEW AML Wrestling Prestige Champion.
