LOS ANGELES - June 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Distinctive Designs 21 announced today the successful development of an innovative new cut and fold technique that eliminates uncomfortable and unsightly raw edges on accent labels. The technique, already adopted by several premium apparel brands, is now available for use by all branded apparel companies that want to set themselves apart.

Distinctive Designs 21's operations engineering staff looked into the problem and found that the difficulty with creating clean folds on all label edges traced back to the cut & fold equipment that is commonly used in the industry. The new tri-fold label can be produced in a variety of fabrics including cotton blends, polyester and rayon and is easily utilized in most automated finishing machines.

"Eliminating raw edges required getting three folds into labels so that a loop and a single stitch could affix the label to the edge of the garment or hat band," added Mr. Weiner. "We worked closely with our mills to modify their equipment so they could execute the intricate folds that our clients needed to move to a cleaner label without operational headaches."
